The Dock & Kayaks
Two kayaks and the paddleboard are yours to use. They live upside down on the rack beside the dock, with paddles and life jackets in the gray bin.
- Life jackets on everyone, every time, strong swimmers included. The lake is cold enough to matter even in August.
- Stay inside the bay. Past the point the wind picks up and the water changes fast.
- Check the sky before you go out. A dark line on the western horizon means come in now.
- Rinse the boats at the spigot and turn them back over on the rack when you are done.
The dock is fine for swimming off; the ladder is on the far end. It comes out of the water in mid October and goes back in around Memorial Day, which is why this page only shows in season.
