Questions hosts ask
Plain answers about how FreshLinen works, what it costs, and what your guests will see.
Is FreshLinen a digital guidebook or a house manual?
Those are different names for the same thing. FreshLinen is a digital welcome book, which some hosts call a digital guidebook and Airbnb calls a house manual. It holds your wifi, arrival steps, house rules, and local picks at one link, for every guest however they booked.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. They scan a QR code or tap a link and the book opens right in the browser, like any web page. The book also saves to their phone, so it is ready even when cell service is not.
Does it work with Airbnb and Vrbo?
Yes, alongside Airbnb, Vrbo, or any other booking platform. Share the link in your check-in message or print the QR codes for the property. There is no integration to set up, so there is nothing to break.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Build your whole book free and preview it exactly as your guests will see it, for as long as you like. You pay only when you are ready to publish.
How many properties can I add?
As many as you host. One $49.99 a year subscription covers your whole account, whether that is one cabin or a dozen listings.
What happens if I cancel?
Your book stays live through the end of the year you paid for, then goes offline. Nothing is deleted, and your printed QR codes work again the moment you resubscribe.
How do guests find the book?
Most guests scan the QR code you leave at the property or tap the link in your booking message. Links are private, and if one ever gets passed around you can reset it with one tap. One honest caveat: printed QR codes point at the old link, so a reset means reprinting them.
Does the book really work offline?
It does. The first time the book opens on a guest's phone, the whole book saves to the device. After that, every page loads with no cell service, from arrival steps at the front door to the house guide and where to eat.
Should I put my door code in the book?
No. Books live at a link, so the safest place for a door code is a private message sent close to arrival. The starter content is set up to steer you that way.
Will my guests ever see ads or anything for sale?
Never. No ads, no upsells, no guest fees, and nothing for sale tucked between your house notes.
